When you complete the online self-enumeration form on the official Indian Census portal for West Bengal, the system generates an 11-digit Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID). 1. Saving the Confirmation Screen

Immediately after submitting your household details on the official portal at se.census.gov.in (open from August 1 to August 15, 2026), a success message will display your 11-digit SE ID.

If you lost the confirmation screen or did not receive the confirmation SMS from the census registry, you can retrieve your receipt by following these steps:

1. Go to the official registration page at https://se.census.gov.in.

3. Input the mobile number of the head of the household registered during the initial filing.
4. Enter the new One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your mobile phone via SMS.
